নোয়াখালী সুবর্ণচরে শহীদ জয়নাল আবেদিন সরকারি মডেল উচ্চ বিদ্যালয়ের নবম শ্রেণীর ছাত্রী মাসুমা আটিয়া জিন্নাত ও তার পরিবারকে কুপিয়ে ও মারধর করে গুরুতর আহত করা হয়েছে। এ ঘটনায় জড়িতদের দ্রুত গ্রেফতার ও দৃষ্টান্তমুলক শাস্তির দাবীতে মানববন্ধন করেছে বিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষার্থীবৃন্দ।
৬ নভেম্বর (বুধবার) সাড়ে ১২ টার দিকে শহীদ জয়নাল আবেদীন সরকারি মডেল উচ্চ বিদ্যালয়ের মাঠে মানববন্ধনের আয়োজন করে বিদ্যালয়ের শিক্ষার্থীরা।
শিক্ষার্থীরা বলেন, গত ৪ নভেম্বর সাড়ে ১২ টায় এইচপিভি ভ্যাকসিন দিয়ে জিন্নাত বিদ্যালয় থেকে বাড়ীতে ফিরলে পর্ব পরিকল্পনা অনুযায়ী সাইফুল ইসলাম ও তার লোকজন জিন্নাত ও তার পরিবারকে ধারালো অস্ত্র ও লাটিশোটা দিয়ে পিটিয়ে গুরুতর আহত করে। পরে জরুরি সেবা নাম্বার ৯৯৯ ফোন পেয়ে পুলিশ তাদের উদ্ধার করে। বর্তমানে জিন্নাত ও তার পরিবার নোয়াখালী সদর হাসপাতালে চিকিৎসাধীন রয়েছে । ঘটনার পর জিন্নাতের মা মারজাহান বেগম বাদী হয়ে ৬ জনকে আসামী করে চরজব্বার থানায় এজাহার দায়ের করেন।
এ ঘটনায় ৬ জন আসামির মধ্যে দুজনকে পুলিশ গ্রেফতার করে। কিন্তু ঘটনার মূল আসামি এখনো গ্রেফতার হয়নি।
শিক্ষার্থীরা আরোও বলেন, ২৪ ঘন্টার মধ্যে ঘটনার মূল আসামি সাইফু্ল ইসলামসহ জড়িত সকলকে গ্রেফতার করার দাবী জানান। এবং দাবী না মানা হলে অবস্থান ধর্মঘট ও ক্লাস বর্জনের হুশিয়ারী দেন।
আহতশিক্ষার্থীর সহপাঠীরা বলেন, জিন্নাত স্কুলে ভ্যাকসিন দিতে আসে। কিন্তু পারিবারিক ও ব্যক্তিগত রেশারেশির বিষয়টি সে জানত না। ভ্যাকসিন দিয়ে বাড়ি ফেরার পথে সে অতর্কিত হামলা শিকার হন। তার হামলার ঘটনায় দোষীকে দ্রুত গ্রেপ্তারের দাবি জানান তারা।
শহীদ জয়নাল আবেদিন সরকারি মডেল উচ্চ বিদ্যালয়ের প্রধান শিক্ষক কাজী নজরুল ইসলাম বলেন, আমরা আসামীদের গ্রেফতারের জন্য প্রশাসনকে অনুরোধ করেছি।ইতোমধ্যে ইতোমধ্যে দুজন আসামী গ্রেফতার হয়েছে। প্রধান আসামীকে গ্রেফতারের জন্য আইন শৃঙ্খলা রক্ষাকারী বাহিনীকে অনুরোধ করছি।
চরজব্বার থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা ওসি শাহীন মিয়া জানান, এই ঘটনায় মাসুমা আটিয়া জিন্নাতের মা বাদী হয়ে মামলা দায়ের করেন। এজাহারভূক্ত দুই আসামিকে গ্রেফতার করতে সক্ষম হয়। বাকিদের গ্রেফতারের চেষ্টা চলছে।
মানববন্ধনে বক্তব্য রাখেন, শিক্ষার্থী আব্দুর রহমান,পারভিন, ইফাত, তানিয়া, পারভেজসহ শিক্ষার্থীরা।
